Oak Wilt

Oak wilt is a fungal disease affecting oak trees, caused by the fungus Ceratocystis fagacearum. Symptoms vary by tree species but generally include leaf discoloration, wilt, defoliation, and death. The fungus spreads from diseased to healthy trees through insects or connections between tree roots.

Dutch Elm Disease

Dutch Elm Disease is caused by the fungi Ophiostoma ulmi (Buism.), Nannf., and O. novo-ulmi. It poses a serious threat to American elms across the United States. The fungus grows through the tree's vascular system, inhibiting water movement to the branches and leaves. It spreads from tree to tree via elm bark beetles and through root grafts.

Diplodia Tip Blight

Diplodia Tip Blight is caused by the fungus Diplodia sapinea. Many exotic and native pines are affected by this disease. Austrian, Scots, and Mugo pines are perhaps the most susceptible; however, native red, Jack, and other two- to three-needle pines are also affected.
